Open any IT company’s hiring update this year and you will see the same pattern: the big names are hiring again. TCS onboarded 10,000 freshers in the July–September quarter, and Infosys brought in more than 8,000 college graduates, with a target of about 20,000 for the year. So which companies hire MCA graduates, and does Google hire MCA students too? Short answer: yes to both. Service giants like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and HCLTech recruit MCA graduates every year, and product companies, including Google and Amazon, consider them for software and data roles when the skills are there. Here’s who is hiring, what roles they offer, and what those roles pay in India in 2026.

ToggleWhich companies hire MCA graduates in India?
With an online MCA degree in hand, you can step into one of the most active hiring areas in the country. The companies below, spread across IT services, consulting, and product tech, keep recruiting MCA graduates for software, data, cloud, and security roles.
One thing to know before you apply: many fresher drives, such as the TCS NQT, list MCA among their eligible degrees, but some specify full-time programmes. Online MCA graduates therefore often come in through off-campus applications, lateral hiring, or referrals. Check the eligibility on each company’s careers page first.

Does Google hire MCA students?
Yes. Google hires MCA students and graduates, but it hires on skills, not on the name of the degree.
Google belongs on any list of which companies hire MCA graduates, but its hiring bar works differently from a service company’s. Its India software engineering listings, including University Graduate roles in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune, set the minimum at a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. A master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field is listed as preferred, and an MCA, being a postgraduate degree in computing, generally lines up with that preference.
So, does Google hire MCA students who studied online? The listings don’t specify a mode of study. They focus on the degree level and on what you can do: write code in languages like Python, Java, or C++, and handle data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving in interviews. If Google is your target, build that depth early with regular practice, solid projects, and cloud certifications. Our guide on getting a job at Google after BCA covers the same preparation steps, and they apply to MCA graduates too.
Top jobs for MCA graduates
Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced professional looking to move up, computer applications offers plenty of room to grow. The two-year MCA covers programming, databases, cloud, and AI, so graduates fit roles from software development to cybersecurity.
Hiring is picking up, but unevenly. In the July–September 2026 quarter, HCLTech added 6,450 people, Infosys 4,480, and TCS 4,258, while Wipro’s headcount fell by 6,716. According to Angel One’s analysis of the quarter, demand for AI, cloud, and cybersecurity talent has been growing at around 16% year on year, even as overall IT hiring slipped by about 3%. That is good news for MCA specializations in exactly those areas.
Here are typical pay ranges for common MCA-linked roles in India, based on Glassdoor India data:
| Job Profile | Approximate Salary |
|---|---|
| Cloud Architect | INR 21,59,316 per annum |
| Web Designer | INR 20.9 lakhs per annum |
| System Analyst | INR 9,54,094 per annum |
| Database Administrator | INR 8,13,914 per annum |
| Software Engineer | INR 7,20,521 per annum |
Salary of MCA graduates in India
There is no single MCA salary. What you earn depends on the employer, city, specialization, and experience. A useful way to think about which companies hire MCA graduates is to split them into two groups: service firms, which hire in large numbers and commonly start standard fresher tracks at around INR 3.5–4.5 lakh, and product companies, which hire fewer people at noticeably higher pay. Specialised skills in AI, cloud, and security help you move toward the upper end of the ranges above, and pay climbs quickly with experience, as the data scientist and software developer engineer I figures show.
Conclusion
An MCA can open doors to roles across IT services, consulting, and product companies, including Google and Amazon. But getting hired depends on more than your degree. Build strong programming fundamentals, work on practical projects, and develop skills in high-demand areas such as AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. The right combination of your MCA, technical skills, and hands-on experience can help you turn your qualification into a rewarding career in tech.
