Preparing Online Learners for Dynamic Workplaces

Overall, it was a good experience. The event was well organized, and one thing I really appreciated was having volunteers instead of a traditional helpdesk. They were polite, approachable, and always willing to help, which made everything go smoothly. The placement portal is very well established. Features like the AI mock interviews, ATS score generator, and AI assessments were especially helpful during my preparation. When it came to interviews, the project work helped me the most. My project was an extension of a Coursera course and involved a lot of practical learning, which helped me answer several questions during the interview process. During the group discussion round, the topic was AI integration in HR, and the course had already covered a similar module, so I felt well prepared. The mock interviews helped me build confidence, and I found the type of questions asked for freshers quite interesting. Reading the job descriptions for each role beforehand was also very useful. Initially, I was hesitant about pursuing an online degree because of the stigma around it. However, Manipal has a strong placement ecosystem with good companies participating, especially for HR roles, which has changed my perception.

My experience was pretty good. It was my first time visiting the Manipal campus, and there was so much to explore. I absolutely loved the campus. The placement team was very supportive. Whenever we reached out to them, they were responsive and helped answer our queries. One feature that really helped me was the ATS resume review tool. Without it, I would have had to pay for similar services outside. When it comes to cracking the interview, I would give credit to both Online Manipal and my own preparation. The support and resources provided definitely helped. My Launchpad experience was smooth from the time I arrived at 7:15 a.m. until the placement process was completed. For the role, financial knowledge was important. Most of the interview questions were related to banking and required a strong understanding of finance. Initially, since I already had four years of work experience, I wasn’t sure if an online degree would add much value. But my experience proved otherwise. I first heard about Manipal through a family friend who said it added value to their resume, and today, I would say the same.
