Did we ever think we would come up with a phrase when science meets fashion? Did not think so, right? That is what drove us to know more about one of our students currently admitted to the PGCP in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at MAHE. Meet the nuclear physicist turned sustainable fashion brand owner, Badigeri Emaniel Sree Harsha – a young science enthusiast with a true entrepreneurial mind, seeing possibilities where others see boundaries. 

From Radiation to Reinvention: Harsha’s Unlikely Pivot 

Always fascinated by how invisible forces like radiation could have such powerful applications in medicine and energy, Harsha’s curiosity piqued into taking up a career in nuclear medicine physics. Most of his works involve advanced research, as well as managing hospitals and diagnostic centers, focusing on safety protocols and radiation-based imaging technologies.   

Having a keen eye for safety procedures, this could be considered a turning point for Harsha, as he began to understand the broader implications of environmental health. This is when his interests began to shift slowly towards sustainability and how industries can grow responsibly.   

“Over time, I realized my interest wasn’t limited to nuclear safety—I was drawn to the larger ecosystem of workplace safety and sustainability.”

KREIGSTER: Building a Sustainable Brand with Local Soul 

KREIGSTER is a lifestyle brand that blends style with sustainability by crafting products with eco-friendly materials, utilizing local production methods, and leveraging local craftsmanship. It can be easily termed as bringing conscious fashion into everyday lives.

Why MAHE’s PGCP E&I Was a Gameplan, Not Just a Course 

Harsha is a great strategist, as he knew that he wanted to understand the know-how of running a business; technical expertise alone would not suffice for this purpose. However, with his full-time job as a nuclear physicist and the formation of a company, pursuing a full-time course was out of the question.   

However, thanks to Online Manipal, Harsha enrolled in the PGCP in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Each module was designed in such a way that it significantly influenced his ability to manage KREIGSTER’s product offerings, customer targeting, and prototype iterations.  

Blending Safety, Strategy, and Style: Lessons from the Frontline 

Time management was the biggest challenge Harsha had to face throughout all this chaos because it called for his undivided attention for his career, entrepreneurship, pursuing higher education all at once. But the anchor that kept him grounded was his undying passion for KREIGSTER and an appetite for learning.  

From day 1, KREIGSTER has stood steadfast in terms of its brand value. They chose eco-friendly dyes, biodegradable packaging, and a safe production unit. Furthermore, after being admitted to the PGCP program, Harsha realized that sustainability is not just an ethical choice, but also a strategic differentiator. This, in turn, has enabled him to view compliance, quality, and environmental impact through an integrated entrepreneurial lens.

Harsha came from an environment where he had to manage radiation exposure in hospitals, leading him to now look after supply chains in fashion.
