Meet Naina Goel: A seasoned CA and a budding, aspiring YouTuber

We caught up in a candid conversation with Naina Goel, a Chartered Accountant (CA) by profession working at one of the big fours- Deloitte USI, and an influencer by passion. This blog throws light on how she enjoys the limelight as a social media influencer, apart from her corporate job.  

Hailing from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, Naina is a 22-year-old Chartered Accountant pursuing her online MBA from Manipal University Jaipur, who enjoys singing, painting, travelling, and believes in constant learning. Naina insists that one should always try to do something, without sitting idle, even if it’s something small. Naina Goel was drawn towards making her own videos by participating in various debate competitions, reading novels, and watching several hundred YouTube videos.  

“I love motivating people around me” 

Naina decided to start her own YouTube channel to motivate and connect with people. “Providing the boost that everyone needs sometimes to get started is very necessary. I share productivity hacks, journaling tutorials, finance tips, and life management techniques on my channel, that motivates people,” she says. 

“Devoting time towards making videos regularly is challenging” 

Working as a Chartered Accountant and making videos to stay active on social media was quite challenging for Naina. But speaking about her passion to connect with her followers regularly, she says, “I started my YouTube channel two years back. It was difficult for me to devote time towards creating videos regularly, so I stopped working on it after 13 videos. But creating content that guides and motivates people is something that I’m deeply passionate about. So, I decided to revive my channel. It’s been four months since I’ve been able to balance between my studies, work commitments, and making videos. I like to be creative, and that’s my motivation.” 

Speaking about the creative process she follows while making her videos, Naina says, “Whenever I get an idea for a new video, I make sure to jot it down immediately so that I can refer to it while executing. I then start my research around that topic, script it, and then start shooting. The next step is editing which takes a huge chunk of time, so I keep a lot of buffers for this.” 

“Time management is key” 

Managing multiple commitments everyday involves managing time effectively. Since the entire process involves a lot of steps and I must juggle between my work and studies along with creating videos, time management is something I need to be very particular about. 

“My name was top search in Google” 

Speaking about her most memorable moment so far, Naina shares, “One day, a close friend, Neeraj, typed my name (CA Naina Goel) on Google and I couldn’t believe that I was on the top of the search results! Not just my LinkedIn profile but one of my YouTube videos as well. It was an amazing feeling to be seen on the world wide web. I only have 590 subscribers as of now but recently my video on e-rupee got 13K views.”
