  • Experience: Both fresh graduates and experienced professionals can pursue a full-time MBA. However, most people who pursue this course usually have some job experience under their belt.

Part-time MBA

Part-time MBA programmes allow you to get your degree without having to take time away from your job. It allows you to be more flexible, and lessons are usually conducted after regular working hours so that students may work and study at the same time.

  • Duration: Such a course can usually be done within 3 years. It can take a student a shorter time to do it though depending on the speed they are comfortable with while pursuing a job.
  • Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for this course are relaxed and usually, all you need is a 10+2+3 certificate to get enrolled. Of course, it depends on the particular university.
  • Experience: Usually, students who have a job are the ones doing a part-time MBA.

Executive MBA

The Executive MBA programme is meant for working executives who want to upskill themselves.

  • Duration: The course is usually of a 1-year duration.
  • Eligibility: You need a 10+2+3 and at least 50% aggregate in your undergraduate exam. You will also need to prove that you have a job.
  • Experience: You will need some work experience to enrol in this programme.

Distance MBA

This mode is delivered through self-learning textbooks and study centres. No or limited student-faculty interactions happen in the distance mode. Students need to go to study centres or assigned exam centres for writing exams.

  • Duration: Normally 2 years. If anyone fails to complete in the stipulated time, they can finish it in four years with additional payments.
  • Eligibility: Many distance MBA institutions admit students based on the performance in graduation (50% marks). Some universities mandate students to pass an entrance test or valid score from CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT etc for MBA admission.
  • Experience: Sparing some, most institutions admit students with and without experience to distance MBA. However, the majority of the distance MBA students are experienced professionals.

Online MBA
