Ms. Nilanjana Sinha is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Sikkim Manipal University, India. She has completed her Masters in English from the University of North Bengal and has been the department topper in graduation from North Bengal St. Xavier’s College. Her research interest spans across identity, culture and ethnicity. Being an avid reader of stories and poems, she enjoys writing her own and has independently organized numerous events on spoken word poetry in her hometown, Kalimpong. She is also the community editor of The Pomelo, an e-magazine aimed at exploring Himalayan voices helmed by young women researchers of India and Nepal.
Mr. Pema Gyalchen Tamang is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Sikkim Manipal University, India. He completed his Master of Arts in English from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He has previously worked as a full-time faculty at Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata, India, and Salesian College, Siliguri. His research interests include Conflict and Borders, Early Modern European Literature, Queer Studies, Himalayan Studies, and Translation studies. His articles and book chapters have been published in reputed and indexed journals like Himalaya, Postcolonial Interventions, and so one, and in edited volumes published by Routledge, Cambridge Scholars, and so on. He has also been actively involved in translation projects on literature written in South Asian languages.
Shabana Mansoor is an Adjunct faculty at Sikkim Manipal University. She holds an MA in communication and journalism degree. She has over 20 years of experience as an academician and media professional in various reputed educational institutions and organizations in India.
Sudhamshu Narayan is an Adjunct faculty at Sikkim Manipal University. He has completed his post-graduation (MA) from Delhi University and was qualified in the bi-annual UGC-NET examination thrice. Previously, he worked as an Asst. Professor of English at Christ Academy, Bangalore. He was associated with USDC Global, an ed-tech platform that offers educational services to various online colleges. At USDC Global, he held responsibilities such as teaching , engaging and monitoring learner progress for students of JAIN Online and also perform operational duties such as creating content, designing learning materials and coordinating with instructors and content developers for composing and updating curriculums.
Sonali is an Adjunct faculty at Sikkim Manipal University. She holds an MA in economics and has over 24 years of work experience in premier B-Schools. She is recognized for using innovative pedagogical tools to teach Economics. She is known for interactive teaching style that encourages student participation and enthusiasm while facilitating learning.
Dr. Sudesha Dutta did her graduation, post-graduation, and PhD from the Comparative Literature of Jadavpur University. She was awarded with JU-SYLFF PhD fellowship. As a visiting fellow at the Indigenous Politics Programme of the University of Manoa (Hawai’i) she worked closely with the activists and scholars invested in Kānaka Māoli causes. Her research interests include indigenous culture, oral history, pedagogy, aesthetics, ecology, gender, identity and ethics. PhD Jadavpur University, M.A (Gold Medal) Jadavpur University.
Mr. Partha Debnath is currently working as an Assistant Professor of English at Sikkim Manipal University, India. He is pursuing his Ph.D. and cleared UGC NET in 2020 and 2022. He has completed his M.A. in English from Kalyani University, West Bengal, and his B.A. in English from Kanchrapara College, West Bengal. He is involved in several translation projects. He has published several journal articles and book chapters and presented papers in multiple national and international seminars and conferences. He is a member of the Comparative Literature Association of India (CLAI), the South Asian Literary Association (SALA), and the Indian Network for Memory Studies (INMS). His areas of interest include Feminism, Deconstruction, and Trauma theory.
Anshu Chhetri is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Sikkim Manipal University. She has completed her M. Phil in English Literature from the University of North Bengal. She is UGC NET and WBSET qualified. She is also involved in a project with Zubaan Projects, a project wing of Zubaan Publishers. Besides that, she has written for LiveWire, Sikkim Projects, Plato’s Cave Online, and other creative journals. She was also one of the fifty writers selected by Terribly Tiny Tales in collaboration with Penguin India.

All applications will be evaluated for eligibility by the admissions team of Sikkim Manipal University. In case the university requires further clarification or documents, the candidate will be intimated via email, SMS or phone. Final decision regarding selection will be notified to the candidate within five working days of submitting the application.
Once a decision has been taken on the application submitted, the status of admission would be intimated to the candidate via email and SMS.
Sikkim Manipal University’s online programs are delivered in a 100% online mode so that students can attend live classes and complete the program remotely, while also pursuing their professional and personal commitments in parallel.
Yes. The program is delivered through a mix of live lectures, pre- recorded videos and discussion forums in which students can interact directly with faculty and self-paced learning. Self-paced learning is driven by video lectures, e-books, quizzes, and assignments that are delivered using a state-of-the-art Learning Management System (LMS).
Students are expected to attend live classes, watch recorded sessions, and go through at least 75% of the self-learning content (reading material and video lectures) available on LMS. This would ensure they are eligible to appear for the final exams.
After admission is confirmed by the university, students will receive access to the Learning Management System (LMS), student portal and e-library. Students can then start accessing the course material and begin their learning journey.

Students must score at least 40% in continuous evaluation and 40% in term-end examinations in each course to successfully complete the program. In case the minimum score is not attained, they will need to apply for re-sit with applicable fees and appear for exam to pass the course.
