Dr. Mahesh Chandra Joshi is currently working as an Professor and Program Coordinator - BBA at the Centre for Distance and Online Education, Manipal University Jaipur. He has over six years of experience in Marketing, Market Research, and Consultancy fields and 18 years of academic experience. He has done B.Sc., master's Diploma, MIB, and Ph.D. His Research Areas are International Business, Entrepreneurship, Case Writing, and Management Education. He has attended over 40 international, national, and state-level conferences, seminars, and workshops and presented papers. He has 45 publications to his name, including research papers, case studies & chapters in books and journals of repute, many listed in Scopus and ECCH, UK.
Dr. Durgesh Batra is currently working as an Professor - Management programs at Centre for Distance and Online Education, Manipal University Jaipur. He holds Ph.D in Management and cleared UGC-NET. He completed MBA in Human Resource Management, MBA in Marketing, and M.Sc. in statistics. He has 18+ years of experience in various engineering and management institutes and universities in India and abroad, teaching courses in programs at Ph.D,, PG, and UG level. Hie teaches statistics, operation research, operation management, research methodology, digital marketing and other general marketing and management courses. He has mentored 3 Ph.D. scholars, published three patents, and published many papers.
Dr. D Pushpa Gowri is an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) and Course Coordinator - commerce programs at the Centre for Distance and Online Education, Manipal University Jaipur. She has done Ph.D. and has over 12 years of teaching experience. She has published research papers in UGC Journals and has presented papers at various conferences. She has handled both Commerce and Management subjects both for UG & PG courses and guided 150+ MBA projects. She has been conferred with 'Best Women Employee' from ISBR Bengaluru. She is a member of the Management Research Scholars Association CBSMS Bengaluru.
Dr. Bharti is Assistant Registrar and Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (Business Management), Manipal University Jaipur. She has experience working in academia and industries for more than 13 years. Her academic interest is in teaching marketing, consumer behavior, management process and organizational behaviour, and advertising & sales. She is involved in writing books, editing book chapters, and conducting online training programs. Dr. Bharti has articles published and presented at reputed national and international journals and conferences and authored a book on Learning Pedagogy in Higher Education.
Dr. Mehak Gulati is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Manipal University Jaipur. She completed her Ph.D. in Investment behaviour. She specializes in Economics, Financial Management, Mergers, Financial Accounting, Investment behaviour, and Banking. Dr. Mehak Gulati has over six years of teaching experience. She is a University topper and a gold medallist in her graduation, post-graduation, and Ph.D., She has presented multiple research papers at National and International Conferences, and to her credit are many research publications indexed in highly reputed journals.
Dr. David Campbell is an Assistant Professor - Management programs at the Centre for Distance and Online Education, Manipal University Jaipur. He has expertise in Business Analytics, Machine Learning, and Research. He has been working in the education sector since 2014. Prior to joining academia, he worked in various capacities with renowned brands like Samsung, Whirlpool, and AkzoNobel in India. Dr. Campbell is UGC-NET qualified and holds a Ph.D. in Management, an MBA (Marketing), and a B.E. (Computer Science). Dr. Campbell has presented many research papers at conferences and seminars and published articles in reputed national and international journals.
Dr. Harendra Singh is currently working as Associate Professor and course coordinator- Managment programs at the Centre for Distance and Online Education, Manipal University Jaipur. He has 13+ years of teaching experience and worked in several reputed Universities in India. He has taught courses like Financial Analytics, Financial Modeling, Financial Management, Derivatives and Risk Management, International Financial Management, and Financial Planning. Her area of research includes Marketing management, electronic commerce, Digital Marketing, Management Information Systems, and Artificial Intelligence. She has presented many papers at national and international conferences and won various Best Paper awards. During her academic career, she has been awarded the Best Teacher award. She has registered a patent for designing a machine learning model for local business vendors in advertising their offers.
Dr. Maani Dutt is currently working as an Assistant Professor, Senior Scale at Centre for Distance and Online Education, Manipal University Jaipur. She has completed her B. Tech. (IT) and MBA (HR and Marketing) degrees. She is also a ph.D. holder, having over eight years of experience. She teaches subjects in the domain of marketing. She has attended workshops at IIM, Ahmedabad, and IIM, Indore. presented papaers at IIT, Delhi, and IIM, Raipur; and has publications in National, International, and SCOPUS indexed journals.
Dr. Neelu Jain is Assistant Registrar and Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) at the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Manipal University Jaipur. She has done Ph.D., B.A., M.A., MBA, and M.Phil. She has 12+ years of experience in academics. She has participated in several seminars, conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs. She has publications in indexed journals and delivered guest lectures. She is also a member of the ISPELL Jaipur Forum and a member of the ELTAI Jaipur, Rajasthan Chapter.
Dr. Shilpi Chakravarty is currently working as an Associate Professor at Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Manipal University Jaipur. She is an academician, an author, a resource person, and a public speaker with 14+ years of experience. She has been a core member of the NAAC steering committee and likewise has successfully handled various academic and administrative responsibilities. Dr. Shilpi Chakravarty has authored 3 books and has presented more than 12 papers at some top conferences. She is a lifetime member of the All India Commerce Association. She also holds various certifications like MSME International Trade certification, Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain Management, and many more.
Dr. Shweta Gakhreja is an Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator - Management programs at the Centre for Distance and Online Education, Manipal University Jaipur. She currently handles Marketing Management, Retail Marketing, Retail Customer Relationship Management, and Retail Management. She completed her Ph.D. in consumer behaviour. Dr. Surbhi Mathur previously worked as a Subject Matter Expert in Finance and Accounting Processes at Infosys and later moved to academics where she held varied academic & administrative responsibilities. She has presented more than twenty research papers at international conferences and seminars. For her outstanding contribution towards academic excellence, she received the Young Teacher Award from Manipal University Jaipur in 2022.
Dr. Rajesh Handa is currently working as an Assistant Professor - Senior Scale in the Department of Management, Centre for Distance and Online Education, Manipal University Jaipur. He has more than 15 years of experience in the academic field. He teaches courses like Data Science, Business Intelligence and Tools, and Data Analytics. Dr. Rajesh completed his doctorate in Management at Gujarat Technological University. After 6 years of monkhood, I returned to the materialistic life and wanted to build my own career. When I started working, I realized I was losing out on opportunities because I didn’t have a degree. Yes. From the academic year 2022-23, it has been made mandatory for all universities offering courses in online or distance learning modes to create ABC accounts for all their students as per the UGC regulation and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) is a digital storehouse of the credits earned by students during their academic journey. It is a credit bank for students that allows them to accumulate, verify, transfer, and redeem their credits. This is an initiative from the Ministry of Education, Government of India to enable academic flexibility and students’ mobility across multiple Higher Education Institutes (HEIs). The University Grants Commission (UGC) has mandated that every learner who is an Indian national needs to submit the following details for creating their ABC account:
The university will reach out to enrolled students for details required to create their ABC accounts and will provide these details to UGC. Once the ABC account is created, the credits earned by the learners in their term-end exam will get deposited into their respective ABC accounts which they can redeem within 7 years. All applications will be evaluated for eligibility by the admissions team of Manipal University Jaipur. In case the university requires further clarification or documents, the candidate will be intimated via email, SMS or phone. Final decision regarding selection will be notified to the candidate within five working days of submitting the application.
Once a decision has been taken on the application submitted, the status of admission would be intimated to the candidate via email and SMS.
Learners who arrange for bank loans on their own can avail fee concessions for upfront fee payment. Learners whose loans are facilitated by Online Manipal (including subvention and zero cost EMIs) cannot avail this fee concession. However, they may avail scholarships provided they qualify for them.
Manipal University Jaipur’s online programs are delivered in a 100% online mode so that students can attend live classes on weekends and complete the program remotely, while also pursuing their professional and personal commitments in parallel.
Students will receive the credentials to access their LMS within 72 hours of confirmation of their admission from the university.
Students who have paid their fee in INR (Indian Rupees) and have been admitted in the domestic (India) category will be able to access their LMS from anywhere in India. International learners (foreign nationals and non-resident Indians) who have paid the fee in USD will be able to access the LMS from anywhere in the world.
No, you will not be able to access the LMS while abroad. If you are working abroad or are based outside India for longer durations, please enroll as an international student to have unrestricted access to the LMS.
All India nationals paying fee in INR will be considered domestic students and will be given access to the LMS only within India. Leaners who travel overseas frequently are advised to register themselves as international students to suit their convenience & work schedules.
Yes. International students can access the LMS from all countries, including India.
Yes. The program is delivered through a mix of live lectures, pre- recorded videos and discussion forums in which students can interact directly with faculty and self-paced learning. Self-paced learning is driven by video lectures, e-books, quizzes, and assignments that are delivered using a state-of-the-art Learning Management System (LMS).
Students will be assigned dedicated course mentors and coordinators who can be contacted to clarify doubts using discussion forums, instant messaging, and email on the Learning Management System (LMS). Students can also interact with course coordinators during live webinars.

The University term-end examination (TEE) will be held digitally viz. computer-based and online proctored.
Candidates can appear for the exams from the comfort of their homes.
The details of the examination schedule will be made available in the photo admit card. Other details on the examination pattern are available in the program guide provided to students.
Examination results will be published on the student portal. If a student fails to clear any of the papers (either in UE or IA or both), he must re-appear by applying to the University through the re-sitting application along with relevant fees, within the due date.
On satisfying all criteria stipulated by the University, successful students will be awarded their respective program degree by the University.
Students are expected to attend live classes, watch recorded sessions, and go through at least 75% of the self-learning content (reading material and video lectures) available on LMS. This would ensure they are eligible to appear for the final exams.
A student’s performance evaluation will be based on both continuous assessments (CA) through assignments and term-end examinations (TEE) which consist of descriptive and multiple-choice questions. A student must score at least 40% in each of these to be declared as having passed the exam. The assessment ratios of TEE to CA is 70:30.
Practical papers (as applicable)
The assessment in the practical part is based on performance in guided exercises (i.e., day-to-day exercises) and unguided exercises. The latter will be conducted on the last day of the practical sessions in each subject with an external examiner.
A student must score at least 40% in both the parts to be declared as having passed.
After admission is confirmed by the university, students will receive access to the Learning Management System (LMS), student portal and e-library. Students can then start accessing the course material and begin their learning journey.
Students must score at least 40% in continuous evaluation and 40% in term-end examinations in each course to successfully complete the program. In case the minimum score is not attained, they will need to apply for a re-sit with applicable fees and appear for exam to pass the course.
Students are given access to an exhaustive e-library with 200,000+ books, video lectures, audio-visual interactive material, virtual classroom sessions, audio podcasts, virtual simulations, and self-assessment quizzes or tests. Students are free to download e-books and print them for convenience.
Although the learning is flexible, students are expected to spend at least 15-20 hours per week watching concept videos, reading learning material, attempting quizzes, and attending live webinars. This would ensure that you get your degree within the minimum duration.
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a three-year undergraduate program for students interested in the field of management. Manipal University Jaipur’s online BBA is recognized at par with any other on-campus BBA degree.
Like an on-campus BBA, the online BBA from Manipal University Jaipur is a three-year degree program consisting of six semesters. However, students can choose to complete the degree at their own pace in a maximum of 6 years.

Yes, Manipal University Jaipur’s degrees are recognized in Canada. Here are the bodies that evaluates Manipal University Jaipur’s degrees for issuing equivalence certificates . These bodies conduct educational credential assessment (ECA) services for both employers and higher education institutions (HEIs).
World Education Services (WES) – Applicable across US and Canada. International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS)- Applicable across Canada for employment and immigration purposes. ICAS is the only accepted evaluation service for admission to colleges in Ontario province. International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES)- The government-mandated ECA service in British Columbia which also serves the interest of all internationally educated applicants throughout Canada.
Students are encouraged to complete their UG programs in 3 years and PG programs in 2 years. However, students may complete the program within the maximum period of 6 years for UG programs and 4 years for PG programs.
