Semester 1
Learn the concepts of business, accounting, and managerial economics and how to apply economic laws and theories to make sound business decisions.
Semester 2
From computer basics to entrepreneurship and principles of marketing management, learn the essentials to run a business. Also understand the concepts and determinants of economic development to analyze various factors affecting the macro-economic system of the country.
Semester 3
Learn financial management and cost accounting through real-life instances. Understand the various disciplines of market and employment, such as stock market trends, demographic shifts, interest and inflation rates over the years, and so on. Discover the practical application of financial statement analysis and the key analytical skills involved in interpreting the financial position of a firm using financial statements, knowledge of the industry and information about the marketplace to make better business decisions.
Semester 4
Understand financial services to deal with sources of funding, the capital structure of corporations, the actions that managers take to maximize shareholder value, and the tools and analysis used to allocate financial resources. Explore indirect taxes and identify the process of issuing shares and debentures, their forfeiture and redemption. Get insights into management of human resources, policies, and practices in India.
Semester 5
Gain fundamental knowledge about investment options and associated risks, international trade and finance, and how e-commerce is affecting business enterprises, governments, and consumers. Understand cost and management accounting techniques, learn to prepare management reports, get an overview of the Indian banking system, different theories of money, and credit creation in India.
Semester 6
Inculcate an advanced level of entrepreneurial vision and build the ability to identify opportunities. Familiarise yourself with the principles and practice of auditing, various provisions of the Income Tax Act, and understand business environments and the influence it has on the efficient, effective and ethical management and development of an organization, its people and systems. Finally, apply multi-disciplinary concepts, tools and techniques to solve organizational problems while you complete your dissertation.
